Ingredients

  • 2 stalks spring onions, finely chopped
  • 10 g fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 300 g yellowtail (buri) sashimi fillets, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 bowls cooked white rice

Method

  1. Finely chop the spring onions and grate the fresh ginger.

  2. Slice the yellowtail sashimi into bite-sized pieces.

  3. In a shallow container, combine the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and grated ginger, mixing well with chopsticks.

  4. Add the yellowtail slices to the marinade, ensuring each piece is submerged.

  5. Top with the chopped spring onions and toasted sesame seeds.

  6. Cover the container and refrigerate to marinate.

    Then 30 min of waiting

  7. Arrange the marinated yellowtail slices over bowls of warm cooked white rice.

  8. Spoon some of the marinade over the rice, and garnish with extra chopped spring onions and sesame seeds before serving.
