Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 12 dill pickle slices
  • 6 slices ham
  • 1 lb pulled pork
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom slab of buns.

  3. Spread yellow mustard over the cut side of the bottom half of the rolls.

  4. Layer the dill pickle slices over the mustard.

  5. Lay the ham slices over the pickles.

  6. Spread the pulled pork evenly over the ham.

  7. Top with the Swiss cheese slices.

  8. Spread more mustard on the inside of the top half of the rolls, then place it on top of the sandwich.

  9. Spread softened butter over the top of the rolls.

  10. Place a foil-covered baking sheet or press on top of the rolls, and weigh it down with a heavy object.

  11. Place the pressed sandwich assembly onto the grill.

  12. Cook until the bread is toasted, the cheese is melted, and the sandwich is pressed flat, about 35 minutes.

  13. Remove from the grill, cut along the roll seams, and serve warm.
