Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

Ingredients

For the meatballs

  • 500 g minced beef or pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 100 g mozzarella, cut into small cubes

For the pasta and sauce

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 1 jar (approx. 500 g) marinara or tomato sauce
  • Extra Parmesan, for serving

Method

For the meatballs

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the minced meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.

  2. Take a portion of the meat mixture, flatten it in your hand, and place a cube of mozzarella in the center.

  3. Wrap the meat around the mozzarella and roll into a smooth ball, ensuring the cheese is completely sealed inside.

  4. Repeat with the remaining meat and mozzarella cubes.

  5. Cook the meatballs in a medium-hot skillet or bake at 400°F (200°C) until browned and cooked through, about 15–20 minutes.

For the pasta and sauce

  1. Boil the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.

    Then 10 min of waiting

  2. Warm the marinara sauce in a pan, add the cooked meatballs, and simmer together for 2–3 minutes.

  3. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti, topped with extra grated Parmesan.
